Wire wound resistors are supplied as standard S series. Special purpose T series resistors are also available. Wire wound resistors can be supplied as single elements, banked, mounted on base plate or in enclosure.
S series is supplied as standard wire wound resistors. The ventilated insulator design assist in heat dissipation, thus increasing wattage value. The A series resistors are supplied for lower power dissipation with higher resistance values.
The T series resistors can be supplied when coating is required. This is particularly important when resistors operate in an adverse environment where the atmosphere is polluted with chemical vapours or sea salt. Two coating options are available, vitreous enamel or cement.
Open wound resistors are supplied with mounting feet and one adjustable tapping as standard. Adjustable tapping can be supplied for vitreous enamel and cement coated resistors when specified by customer.
Electrohm’s wire wound resistors are made from high grade resistance alloy. Resistance wire are space wound to eliminate voltage breakdown. Power dissipation for this resistor starts from 20 up to 1000 Watts, and with resistance ranging from 0.05 to 6300 Ohm.
